SUMMARY:D&A Webinar: Having Conversations with Donors
DESCRIPTION:Fundraising is about relationships. We have heard this over and over again. Yet\, when it actually comes down to having a conversation with a donor\, there is sometimes a “fear factor” that creeps in. “What do I say?” “I don’t want to offend them.” “It seems like I am imposing.” This fear\, it seems\, is exponential when board members are asked to have their own conversations.\n\nThis webinar will be an interactive session\, where we can talk about conversations with donors … how to prepare; what to say; how to engage; how to follow-up. Participants will be encouraged to share their own experiences and to ask questions or advice. Please join us for what should be a fun\, interactive discussion.\nNONMEMBER REGISTRATION & PAYMENT>>\nMEMBER REGISTRATION>>

SUMMARY:Webinar: "Governance with an Equity Lens"
DESCRIPTION:Much of the work we are doing is appropriately being filtered through a racial equity lens.  This is difficult work and must be purpose-driven.  What does this mean for our boards and how board govern today?  There are many shifts taking place in the nonprofit sector\, especially as it relates to governance and the board’s role in leading their nonprofits.  In fact\, it often seems as if the nonprofits are leading many of their boards today.  During this webinar\, Sharon will discuss some of the changes we are seeing\, whether these will be longer-term trends and how nonprofits and their boards must evolve to meet the changing dynamics and needs in our society. \nMEMBER REGISTRATION>> \nNON-MEMBER REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT>>
